With overall more energetic and consistent effort the Nets defeated a feisty New Orleans team …. that at times seemed to be knocking on the door of a road win.
Williams had another good game plus low turnovers and solid play by Lopez, Wallace and the bench saw the Nets end with some room to spare at the final buzzer.
Marshon Brooks got some more minutes and the Nets got some more points as a result. Does PJ get it yet?
The Mirza Teletovic mystery experiment continued … and while a significantly more valuable Kris Humphries continues to sit and stagnate, a Teletovic dunk attempt was embarrassingly blocked at the rim adding to his growing list of sub-par performances.
Teletovic is a defensive liability and should be shooting the three every time he gets the ball if he wants to impress.
Joe Johnson will have four more days to rest his sore heel until Sundays game against his ex-team the Hawks.
The rookie point guard Evans played poorly prompting PJ to bring Derek Williams back on the court sooner than anticipated.
Wallace bounced back from a lackluster performance against the Sixers that saw him sit out the fourth quarter and I suspect he’s playing bruised; something no one will ever find out from him.
A good night for Net fans.
